DBM Contractors, Inc., a leading Design/Build Specialty Geotechnical Contractor in the western United States, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. The person in this position will provide management direction for existing projects and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, groups of clients, geographical area or type of project. Regional Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations.

• Primary Skills: Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential. Significant business skill required. Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.

• Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience including above industry standard benefit package with profit sharing.

• Education & Experience Required: 4 year engineering degree or equivalent from an accredited college plus extensive (ten or more years) experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.

• Start Date: ASAP

• Typical Duties:

1. Coordinates with Regional Manager with planning, organizing and staffing key field positions through General Superintendent.
2. Establishes regional project management objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
3. Initiates and maintains liaison with prime client and A/E contacts, to facilitate project construction activities.
4. Monitors/controls construction through administrative direction of Project Superintendents to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigates potentially serious situations and implements corrective measures.
5. Plans, coordinates and/or supervises activities of project management/engineering personnel on assigned project(s).
6. Represents company in project meetings, assists in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
7. Manages financial aspects of project contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
8. Assists with development, implementation, and interpretation of project safety and quality control plans.
9. Provides direction to project planning, scheduling, QA/QC, and engineering functions as required.
10. Prepares complete budgets and/or bid estimates for assigned project(s).
11. Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.
