Ground improvement, in lieu of structural support, is often a viable option when the existing ground conditions are less than adequate to perform their role in foundation support or lateral stability situations. Often times in geotechnical construction, ground improvement can elevate the site soil conditions to a level that will perform satisfactorily for the engineering requirements of the proposed structure.
